Photographer

Practice photographing people.

Who to shoot?

People around you tend to get a bit fed up of having their photo taken when you are practicing, and to be honest you get a bit tired of using the same models. I started taking photos of complete strangers sometimes with their knowledge but other times without. Most people don't mind but it's best to be polite and ask their permission first, especially in foreign countries.

If you want to use photos of people for any commercial reason you will need them to sign a model release form, I carry a few around with me just on the off chance. You will find most people will quite willing let you use their photo if you offer to give them a copy.

These are a few shots I took whilst just wandering around with my camera looking for someone new to practice on.

Spanish Farmer

This photos was taken at an agricultural show in Pozo Negro, Fuerteventura. The man in this shot was tending to his goats and had no idea I was taking photos of him. This was one of my favorite photos of the day purely because it's so candid.

The photographer in this photo was one of the guys on the beach going round photographing people on holiday. We got chatting when he saw my camera and he didn't mind me snapping a few off of him. what a poser?

The balloon seller in this photo caught me taking shots of him but didn't mind a bit, I think he quite enjoyed it and probably thought I was a professional and he was going to get his photo in print!
